Patron Saint’s “Fiestas”

Orba’s patron saint celebrations are held on 2nd Sunday of May in honour of the Virgin of the Defenceless.

“El Cristo”, Orbeta (a municipal district of Orba with a strong pottery-making tradition that goes back to the 16th century), which is celebrated during the 2nd weekend of July.

Popular “fiestas” en Orba: “bous al carrer” (a traditional, highly entertaining form of bull running through the streets in which the animals are not sacrificed), open air dances, popular meals in the streets, etc. Celebrated during the last week in July.
